Vietnam has 500+ metal fabricators; perhaps a tenth are genuinely export-ready for US programs. This guide covers established names by specialty tier, with the honest caveat that the right supplier depends on your product, volume and tolerance for hand-holding. We publish it because US buyers repeatedly ask us to map the landscape — including our competitors.
Tier 1: Structural steel and pre-engineered buildings

ATAD Steel Structure — design-fabricate-erect solutions for industrial and commercial projects across 40+ countries. Tier 2: Diversified industrial groups
THACO Industries — the mechanical arm of one of Vietnam's largest conglomerates: mechanical processing, metal components and OEM contract manufacturing at scale, with the balance sheet for very large programs. Best fit for buyers who need conglomerate-scale capacity and multi-category sourcing under one roof.
Tier 3: Precision OEM/ODM fabricators (custom equipment and parts)

Verify ISO certificates with the certification body, not a PDF. Send one real drawing and measure DFM response time and quality. Order a paid prototype with full First Article Inspection before any volume PO. Require Mill Test Certificates per lot. And check two Western customer references.
